Starting Monday, SouthWest Transit will expand service from its Chanhassen Transit Station to downtown Minneapolis.

New Route 692 will offer direct service to downtown Minneapolis at 6:30 and 7:25 a.m.

Route 698 will depart Chanhassen Station at 9:18 a.m. The bus will stop at Southwest Village and Southwest Station before heading to downtown Minneapolis.

Route 690U will leave Chanhassen at 8:22 a.m. and service downtown Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota.

Select Route 690C will be renamed Route 690 and provide service from Southwest Station.

The agency also has the following additions to service from Minneapolis.

Route 692 with direct service to the Chanhassen Station will depart 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue at 3:41 p.m. and 5:17 p.m.

Route 699 will provide direct service to the Southwest Village from 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue at 5:58 p.m.

Two other changes of note:

On Route 695, the 7 a.m. departure from Southwest Village will be moved up to 6:50 a.m. and the departure from Southwest Station will be at 7:02 a.m.

The 7:15 a.m. departure from Southwest Village will be moved up to 7:05 a.m. and the departure from Southwest Station will be at 7:17 a.m.

Eastbound Route 698V will no longer stop at the Chanhassen Station. The route will begin at 6:10 a.m. at Southwest Village.

An alternate option for riders is to catch the 690C at 6:04 a.m. the Chanhassen Station.
