'This Clement World'

Thursday-Saturday: As she was completing a trilogy of very personal shows a few years ago, performer Cynthia Hopkins said she hoped that once she'd exorcised her demons, she could be of service to the wider world. Hopkins laughed at how highfalutin that might have sounded, but she has made good on her promise with a new show that gets out of her head and into the environment. Hopkins uses music, avant-garde performance and technological wizardry to tell about her journey into the Arctic. Can we maintain a livable climate? she asks in the piece, a Walker commission. (8 p.m. Thu.-Sat. $15-$22. Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 612-375-7600 or www.walkerart.org.)
