WCHA roundup: CC upsets St. Cloud State

• COLORADO COLLEGE 4, ST. CLOUD STATE 3: The host Tigers scored three goals in the third period to beat the first-place Huskies (18-12-1, 15-7-1). Charlie Taft had two of those goals, at 33 second and 14:08. They were his fourth and fifth goals of the season. Teammate Rylan Schwartz scored his 12th goal in between, at 4:27. Taft's second goal put CC ahead 4-2. Freshman Jonny Brodzinki scored twice for St. Cloud, which outshot the Tigers 43-29. Defenseman Andrew Prochno had the other SCSU goal. Jeff Collett scored the first CC goal. Joe Howe, of Plymouth, Minn,, had 40 saves for the Tigers (12-14-5, 9-10-4). Ryan Faragher had 25 saves for the visitors.

• DENVER 5, NORTH DAKOTA 4: Nick Shore's goal, at 3:45 of the third period, was the game-winner for the Pioneers (16-9-5, 11-7-5) over visiting UND (16-9-6, 11-6-6). Denver goalie Juho Olkinuora made 35 saves.
