With the Gophers: The freshman has played in 25 games, starting 24, and has a 17-3-4 record, a 1.70 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage and three shutouts. He has been named WCHA rookie of the week twice and the national rookie of the month once, in November.

In the genes: Wilcox has three cousins who have played college hockey: Alex Stalock (Minnesota Duluth), Nick Stalock (St. Olaf) and Nick Klaren (Wisconsin-Stout).

Off the ice: Wilcox played quarterback for South St. Paul High School and is a Rubik's Cube aficionado.
