Suspicious activity. A woman reported that her front window was broken at her home on the 8100 block of Pinewood Circle. She waited outside in the driveway until officers arrived. Police determined that a bird had flown through the window - there were feathers and droppings in the home.

Alarm. A home's security system was activated on the 600 block of Carver Beach Road. The homeowner informed officers that his wife was trying to get in the house and didn't remember the code to deactivate the alarm.

COLOGNE

JAN. 14

Assist public. A woman reported that her 1 1/2-year-old son had locked her out of the house on the 200 block of Winkler Trail. She also said her 3-week-old baby was in the house. She had gone out to get the mail. A neighbor helped her gain entrance before police arrived.

CORCORAN

JAN. 19

Fire. Four fire departments responded to the 19400 block of Hackamore Road regarding a barn on fire. The horses got out of the barn safely. Sparks from a nearby burning barrel, which was unattended, caused the fire.

EDINA

JAN. 25

Underage drinking. Two girls, ages 15 and 16, were cited for minor consumption of alcohol on the 4500 block of Dunham Drive.

HAMBURG

JAN. 15

Theft. A man reported an ashtray with cigarette butts was stolen from his unlocked vehicle on the 400 block of Brad Street. The ashtray was valued at $1.

HOPKINS

JAN. 9

Hit and run. A 26-year-old Hopkins woman was charged with failure to stop for an accident, failure to provide information, driving after revocation and driving after suspension of her license. She had struck a woman with her vehicle at 6th Street and 7th Avenue S.

INDEPENDENCE

Drunken driving. A 62-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for drunken driving at Hwy. 12 and County Road 92.

MAPLE GROVE

JAN. 16

Obstruction. A 54-year-old Maple Grove man was arrested for obstruction of the legal process on the 10000 block of Trenton Lane N.

MINNETRISTA

JAN. 26

Suspicious vehicle. Officers responded to Game Farm Road regarding a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle belonged to a coyote hunter.

Suspicious person. An unknown male entered a vacant home on Saunders Lake Drive. Officers found him to be painting there.

PLYMOUTH

JAN. 23

Arson. A pair of shoes was on fire in the street on the 2200 block of Ranchview Lane N.

Theft. A 2007 Jeep was stolen from the parking lot of a business on the 3600 block of Plymouth Avenue N. The vehicle was recovered in another city.

RICHFIELD

JAN. 30

Robbery. A 24-year-old Minneapolis woman and a 25-year-old Maple Grove man were arrested for theft of a motor vehicle on the 600 block of 66th Street E. after they allegedly carjacked a vehicle.
