THE GREAT DEBATE: MOSS VS. RICE

Randy Moss, in claiming he is the greatest receiver in NFL history, readily acknowledges his statistics fall short to those of Jerry Rice, who holds every major NFL receiving record. Still, the numbers point to No. 80, not No. 84:

MOSS CATEGORY RICE

4.5 average receptions/game 5.1

70.1 average receptions/season 77.5

15,292 receiving yards 22,895

70.1 average yards/game 75.6
