Bears hire St. Paul native Tibesar as LBs coach

The Bears hired former Purdue defensive coordinator and St. Paul native Tim Tibesar as their linebackers coach.

Tibesar, a former St. Agnes and University of North Dakota standout linebacker, served as Purdue's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach last season after working for three years under new Bears coach Marc Trestman with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes. Tibesar was their linebackers coach for two years before becoming defensive coordinator in 2011.

In other NFL news: The Rams decided not to hire Rob Ryan as defensive coordinator and instead hired Frank Bush as linebackers coach. ... The Bills and Rogers Media announced a new agreement in which Buffalo will play one regular-season game at the home of the Toronto Blue Jays for the next five years, and one preseason game in 2015. ... The Steelers hired Jack Bicknell Jr. as the team's new offensive line coach.
