What should people know about St. Croix Prep? In terms of sports, we have a lot of good athletes. People think we're just a college prep school.
Through Tuesday, the boys' basketball team had won eight in a row. Why? We've been playing together since our freshman year. We have really good chemistry and a good coach who preaches defense.
Position? I'm a point guard.
What do you do well? I like to set up the offense and attack the basket while trying to get open shots for my teammates. I'm a drive-and-dish player.
Would you rather make a basket or get an assist? Making a basket is cool but, at the same time, getting open shots for your teammates is a different dynamic. I like that feeling.
Other sports? Football. We have a combined team with three schools: us, New Life Academy and Bethany Academy.
Which do you prefer? Basketball. I just love it.
Best victory this season? When we beat St. Agnes [63-54]. We were down by 10 points at one point, but we showed a lot of resilience to fight back and win.
Expectations? We are in a good section with Maranatha, Heritage Christian, West Lutheran. They're all in the top 10 [in Class 1A], but if we play as good as we can, we can play with those teams.
