It just keeps coming for the Wolves.

Not only did they learn today that Kevin Love will need hand surgery and is out eight to 10 weeks, but J.J. Barea won't play tonight at Oklahoma City because of back spasms.

You could tell the back was bothering him last night because he had a huge pack strapped to it when he wasn't playing against Atlanta.

His absence leaves the Wolves now with just 2.5 healthy guards: Ricky Rubio is the half because he is expected to be held to that 20-ish minute limit again.

This time, Rubio is playing in the second part of back-to-back games for the first time since he returned from knee surgery.

Remember, Oklahoma City is the place where Barea had his first, and only, triple-double in that double-overtime game last March.

One other thing:

* Chase Budinger had a check-up with the Florida surgeon who operated on his knee in November and was told he is about two months away from playing.

That would put him back playing games by early to mid March.
