Gov. Mark Dayton wants to deliver his State of the State address to a joint session of the Minnesota Legislature on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Dayton, who is recovering from back surgery and is conducting meetings at his residence, proposed the Feb. 6 date in a letter to House and Senate leaders.

The address would be at 7 p.m.

The address would come two weeks after Dayton is scheduled to deliver his proposed budget for the next biennium.
