Family reunion

Refill your wine goblet. After being canceled by ABC, "Cougar Town" (9 p.m., TBS) takes its place in cableland with its playful tone clearly intact. The freewheeling episodes may be too absurdist for some, but any chance to watch Courteney Cox, Christa Miller and Busy Philipps bounce barbs off each other is just fine with me.

This gun for hire

Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) is back for a new season of "Justified" (9 p.m., FX) in which he looks into a 30-year-old murder. Shouldn't be that tough since he's hired a new constable played by none other than comedian Patton Oswalt.

Just for kicks

After Saturday's loss, Chris Kluwe could use a few laughs, and what better place to get them than "The Colbert Report" (10:30 p.m. Comedy)? The Vikings punter is scheduled as the guest. Something tells me he'll be talking more about gay rights than football.
