This, just in: The Rochester office of Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. says it was selected to build the $29 million pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade United South Central School in Wells, MN. (See rendering above.) The 155,000-square-foot building will replace the former school, parts of which date back to 1933.

The new school will be located on a 66-acre site and will also feature a new bus garage, practice fields, varsity fields and tennis courts.The facility will serve about 625 students.

The architect on the project is Minneapolis-based SGN/Wendel. Construction will begin in the spring of 2013 and is expected to be completed by September of 2014.
