Metro Transit bus drivers, light rail operators and mechanics are voting today on what's being called the "best and final offer," and if that offer is rejected that could pave the way for a strike.
Members of the Amalgmated Transit Union 1005 started casting ballots Sunday. The union has about 2,200 members.
The workers have been without a contract since July.
The last time Metro Transit drivers walked off the job was in 2004. That strike lasted six weeks.
