A 53-year-old man from Merrifield, Minn., died on Thursday in a crash involving his pickup and two semitractor trailers in Crow Wing County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Raymond J. Richard was killed when he lost control of his pickup while westbound on County Road 12 west of Deerwood, crossed the center line and was broadsided by an eastbound semi. That semi then went into the ditch, and a trailer that the pickup was pulling detached and was struck by the second semi. Neither semi driver was hurt.
