Bremer Bank, one of the state's largest lenders, is set to go mobile.

The St. Paul-based lender has chosen Fiserv Inc.'s Mobiliti for its mobile banking platform and expects to roll out smartphone banking services in the second quarter.

Bremer Bank customers will be able to check balances, find ATMs, get alerts, pay bills and transfer funds using Androids and iPhones, Fiserv said Thursday in a news release.

Deb Bauman, group president at Bremer Financial Services, said in the release that mobile banking is a strategic priority for the bank and that Fiserv has been a long-term partner.

"We believe the Fiserv solution will enable us to deliver a comprehensive mobile banking and payments solution that will be a key differentiator for Bremer Bank," Bauman said.

Fiserv, based in Brookfield, Wis., is a major technology provider for the financial services industry, and Mobiliti is used by hundreds of financial institutions around the country including SunTrust Banks Inc. in Atlanta, and Minneapolis-based U.S. Bancorp.
