Mavs top UConn for title • MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, CONNECTICUT 1: Johnny McInnis scored two goals to lead the Mavericks (12-6-2) over the Huskies (5-8-2) on Sunday in the championship game of the UConn Hockey Classic in Storrs. McInnis scored twice in the second period to give Minnesota State the lead, and Zach Palmquist added an empty-netter with 7 seconds to go.

• MASSACHUSETTS 4, BEMIDJI STATE 3: The Minutemen (7-9-2) came back from an early deficit against the Beavers (5-10-3) by scoring three second-period goals to win the semifinals of the Ledyard Bank Classic in Hanover, N.H. Bemidji State scored twice in the first period.

• MICHIGAN TECH 4, WESTERN MICHIGAN 0: Phoenix Copley notched his second shutout in a row as the Huskies (6-10-3) beat the Broncos (11-5-2) in the final of the Great Lakes Invitational in Detroit. One night after stopping 38 shots in a 4-0 victory over Michigan, Copley turned away 32 shots as the Huskies won their first tourney title in 32 years. Michigan beat Michigan State 5-2 in the consolation game.

• QUINNIPIAC 3, NEBRASKA-OMAHA 1: Connor Jones and Ben Amt scored power-play goals, Eric Hartzell of White Bear Lake made 28 saves and the Bobcats (14-3-2) swept the Mavericks (11-8-1) in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac is unbeaten in its past 12 games (11-0-1).
