Didn't quite make New Year's Eve plans to party in Miami this year with Lebron James either eh? Well the elegant downtown Minneapolis event center Aria (located in the historical warehouse district, kiddy-corner from Origami), is teaming up with hip-hop act Villa Rosa (www.villarosamusic.com) and the classic Oliver Stone movie "Scarface," to bring a little Miami heat to the frozen Twin Cities.
Rumor in the streets is that Aria, the company occupying the building originally known as the Realty Warehouse Company (designed by the State Capitols' architect Cass Gilbert in 1899) will be transformed indoors into a replica of the famous 1983 Tony Montana mansion.
Villa Rosa will be providing an extravagant soundtrack for the evening which will feature DJ Turtleneck, mixed with live musicians to set off a politically incorrect hip-hop, r &b, dance, and Latin Soul set to ring in 2013. Villa Rosa celebrated and highlighted 2012 releasing their EP "Exotic Paraphernalia," at Rhymesayer Entertainment's 5th Annual Soundset Festival. The duo plan on performing new material off of upcoming 2013 joint and solo projects featuring producers and rappers Mike the Martyr (Lake Street Store) and Bobby Raps (Audio Perm).
