The skinny: It's San Jose State's high- scoring offense vs. Bowling Green's stingy defense. The Spartans averaged 35.3 points (26th among FBS schools), while the Falcons allowed only 15.8 per game (ninth). ... San Jose State, No. 24 in the AP poll, is the first Top 25 team to play in the Military Bowl, now in its fifth year.
Cincinnati (9-3) vs. Duke (6-6)

The skinny: This is Duke's first bowl game in 18 seasons, and the Blue Devils haven't won one since 1961. Baylor (7-5) vs. UCLA (9-4)

The skinny: Baylor ranks first nationally after averaging 578.8 yards of offense, and UCLA accepts the challenge. "When people predict a shootout and the head coach is standing up here talking about a shootout, if you're a defensive guy, you bow up a little bit," UCLA coach Jim Mora said. "It'll be a great night to be at Qualcomm watching football."
