WINE

Talk about a well-named wine: The "Amrita" on the 2011 Anne Amie Cuvée A label is a Buddhist word for "ambrosia" or "wine of the gods." And this white blend from Oregon is indeed nectar-like, with floral notes and sensuous beams of fruit. Despite containing 10 grapes (including pinot gris, chardonnay, riesling, pinot blanc and vermentino), this $16 wine has laser-like focus and a tingly mouthfeel. Try it with all manner of Asian dishes, especially Thai and Vietnamese, or sushi. Great aperitif, too. Available at BrightWines, Century, McDonald's, On the Rocks, Pairings, Solo Vino, the Wine Market and others.
