Putting baby in a corner

Diana Serra Cary was set up to be filmdom's first child star, but the documentary "Baby Peggy: The Elephant in the Room" (7 p.m., TCM) shows how the best-laid plans can be destroyed by a shaky family. The one-hour movie is followed by four examples of Baby Peggy's finest work from the 1920s.

Country Christmas

One of "The Voice" judges is aiming to become the next Andy Williams with "Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas" (9:01 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11), a new special that ideally will feature musical performances, corny jokes and an appearance by Charo.

Guitar man

The studio for "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" (11:35 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) is too tiny to accommodate a house band, but guitarist Richie Sambora will somehow manage to squeeze himself in for a weeklong stint as musical sidekick. Maybe Doc Severinsen can lend him some of his old jackets.
