Gophers-Michigan State recap
- November 24, 2012 - 7:57 PM
Le'Veon Bell, Michigan State
The junior running back gave the Gophers all they could handle -- and then some -- in racking up 266 yards on 35 carries. The workhorse had 124 yards on just 12 carries in the first half before bruising the Gophers' defense with 23 punishing carries in the second half. His 8-yard TD run midway through the fourth quarter essentially sealed the game for the Spartans.
Johnny Adams, Michigan State
There were plenty to choose from on both sides of the ball, but Adams had two of Michigan State's four interceptions. Honorable mention goes to the Gophers' Aaron Hill, who provided Minnesota's only TD with an interception return in the first half.
BY THE NUMBERS
4 Rushing yards for the Gophers on 19 attempts.
278 Rushing yards for Michigan State on 44 attempts.
