Out of this world

Superman has some company. In the new series "Marvin Marvin" (7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nick), Lucas Cruikshank plays a teenage alien who was sent to Earth by his parents to protect him from evil invaders. Let's just hope he's not allergic to Kryptonite.

All about soul

Cedric the Entertainer hoped to live up to his name while hosting "Soul Train Awards 2012" (7 p.m. Sunday, Centric and BET), which was taped earlier this month. Among the highlights: John Legend's performance of "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)" and Fantasia's take on the Aretha Franklin classic "Don't Play That Song for Me."

The young and the rest home

"Extreme Cougar Wives" (9 p.m. Sunday, TLC) spotlights some women who believe age is just a number. You'll meet 76-year-old Hattie, who is chasing a 25-year-old man, as well as 65-year-old Stephanie, who flaunts a 28-year-old boyfriend. Wonder what their family table was like on Thanksgiving?
