GOPHERS VS. RICHMOND, NOON THURSDAY; VS. JAMES MADISON, 2:30 P.M. FRIDAY; VS. MISSOURI, 5 P.M. SATURDAY • CANCUN, MEXICO • NO TV/88.5-FM

• Gophers at a glance: Minnesota opened the year 4-0 after winning back-to-back weekend tournaments at Williams Arena. Coach Pam Borton earned her 200th career victory at Minnesota in the most recent win, 77-60 over Maine in the title game of the Subway Classic. Rachel Banham (20.3 ppg) and Micaella Riche (18.5 ppg) have accounted for nearly half of Minnesota's points this season, but they got some help last weekend. Guard Mikayla Bailey was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after averaging 9.5 points and 3.5 assists while shooting 60 percent from the floor.

Richmond at a glance: The Spiders are 1-3, having dropped three consecutive games to Miami, Boston University and Hartford -- all by fewer than 10 points. Rachael Bilney leads three scorers averaging in double digits with at 14.5 ppg, while Genevieve Okoro is averaging a double-double (10.3 ppg, 10.5 rpg). Richmond, playing in the Atlantic 10, finished 23-9 last season and advanced to the WNIT.

• James Madison at a glance: The Dukes, who face Wisconsin-Green Bay on Thursday, are 1-2 and come into the tournament with a victory in their most recent game over Murray State. Kirby Burkholder leads the team in scoring at 17 ppg and has made 11 of her 27 three-point attempts. James Madison went 29-8 a year ago, finishing as the WNIT runner-up.

• Missouri at a glance: Like the Gophers, the Tigers (3-0) are undefeated but without a major test yet after home victories over St. Louis, Chicago State and Western Illinois. Missouri gets scoring from a lot of different sources and is holding opponents to just 28.6 percent shooting on three-pointers this season.
