So now we wait until Sunday to find out how bad Chase Budinger's knee is.

Yet another injury. This time it was Budinger, who started in place of Brandon Roy, who went down. It happened mid-way through the fourth quarter, when Budinger got his foot stuck and his left knee twisted in a scrum following a blocked shot at the Wolves offensive end.

Already Kevin Love (hand) and Ricky Rubio (knee) are out. J.J. Barea (mid-foot sprain) missed the last two games; his status for Monday's game in Dallas won't be known until Sunday. Sunday is also when Budinger will have an MRI on his knee. But it is inconceivable that he would be ready to play any time soon.

Should neither Roy nor Barea be available Monday, the Wolves would be playing without five of the top seven players on their roster.

By the way, we're only six games into the season.

The mood in the locker room was somber. Luke Ridnour talked about praying for Budinger's health.

The Wolves played very hard Saturday. And while they struggled on offense down the stretch, they matched the Bulls physically for much of the night. Even without a number of players, and with Budinger in an exam room having an X-ray taken, the Wolves fought hard down the stretch.

Other notes:

--Alexey Shved, currently the only healthy two-guard on the Wolves' roster, struggled at times with the Bulls' pressure. But he only had one turnover. He also had seven points, six assists and five rebounds.

--Andrei Kirilenko had another stat-filled night with 11 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Oh, and two steals and a block.

--Nikola Pekovic had 14 points by halftime, but had just four points in a second half marred by foul trouble.

That's about all for now. We'll learn Sunday about Budinger and Barea, and should know by Monday whether Roy's knee will allow him to play in Dallas. Have a good weekend.
