Three observations ...

• Jaguars rookie Justin Blackmon, drafted No. 7 overall, shows no explosion. He's caught only 23 of 54 passes thrown to him.

• Tennessee's Chris Johnson is tough to figure. He had fewer than 26 yards in four of his first five games. Now, he's had 90 or more in four consecutive.

• With Troy Polamalu and Ed Reed growing old, San Francisco's Dashon Goldson looks like the NFL's next great safety.

Two bold predictions ...

• The Panthers will cool Ron Rivera's coaching hot seat a little more when they beat the Broncos for a second victory in a row.

• The Cowboys have three consecutive home games after Sunday's game at Philly. But they'll be 3-6 after losing Sunday's Overrated Bowl.
