Art produced by the “Chainsaw Gang.”

TV critic's picks for Saturday, Nov. 11

Father and son

Former "Saturday Night Live" star Jim Breuer gets semi-serious in "More Than Me" (7 p.m. Saturday, Current), a new documentary in which the comedian takes his 84-year-old father with him on the road. Does that mean the "stoner" jokes are going on hiatus?

Buzz shows

"Chainsaw Gang" (9 p.m. Saturday, CMT), about people who use their power tools to create art, is so exclusive that Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is on the waiting list. It's followed by the premiere of "Big Texas Heat" (9:30 p.m. Saturday, CMT), in which a small town does its best impression of Mayberry, R.F.D.

For those about to rock

By sheer coincidence, I'm sure, Veterans Day this year is landing on "National Metal Day," a cable-created holiday to be celebrated with "That Metal Special" (7 p.m. Sunday, VH1 Classic), followed by the premiere of "Judas Priest at the US Festival 1983" (8 p.m. Sunday, VH1 Classic).
