A man was found dead in an alley in south Minneapolis early Wednesday, the apparent victim of a shooting, police said.
Minneapolis police Sgt. William Palmer said that officers from the Third Precinct were dispatched to the scene shortly before 3 a.m. after a report of shots being fired in the 2100 block of 10th Avenue S.
Palmer said no one was in custody. He asked anyone with information to call the department's TIPS Line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
Palmer said the victim's name will be released later by the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.
