MINNEAPOLIS - Michigan has dominated Minnesota in football for years.

They play for the Little Brown Jug trophy so this is still considered one of the Big Ten's many rivalries, but the Gophers have only won three times in the last 40 games. Maybe, just maybe, the Wolverines are vulnerable this year.

Minnesota (5-3, 1-3) is coming off a decisive win over Purdue, with momentum behind new quarterback Philip Nelson. Michigan (5-3, 3-1) hasn't scored a touchdown in the last two games, with some seemingly more-challenging matchups ahead.

The Wolverines say they want "the jug" just as badly as the Gophers, though their goal was set on more prestigious hardware when the fall began. The Gophers can become eligible for a bowl game by winning.
