A 31-year-old Farmington man has admitted to four incidents in which he exposed himself or showed cellphone photos of female genitalia to children.

Adam E. Berg pleaded guilty Tuesday in Dakota County District Court to one felony count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and three gross misdemeanor counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The crimes occurred at various locations around Farmington from mid-January through late February.

Berg told his wife that he would walk up to a child, unzip his pants and expose himself "because it gave him a rush," according to the criminal complaint filed against him in March.

According to the complaint: On Jan. 16, Berg approached a 4-year-old boy in a park, exposed himself and asked the boy to touch him. Berg left as the boy's mother approached.

On Feb. 13, Berg was in a pickup truck and approached an 8-year-old girl outside. He exposed himself and asked her to touch him.

Two more incidents happened Feb. 27, when he showed a 10-year-old girl walking to a park cellphone photo of a naked female. About a half-hour later, he approached two boys, ages 9 and 12, outside a home and held up a cellphone with a photo of female genitalia. The boys' father saw his sons talking to Berg and gave police a vehicle description.
