Some of the biggest Halloween-related gigs were this past weekend, but clubs are still hoping to pack in the costumed masses on one of the biggest drinking nights of the year. Here are some good options for music lovers thinking of going out Wednesday, whether or not you choose to play dress-up:

TRIPLE ROCK: As is the case every year at the West Bank venue, a few well-known local bands will reinvent themselves as tribute acts for one night only. This year's lineup sounds like a fun one: Members of Al Church & State are donning fake moustaches and working on their white-boy-soul harmonies to perform as Halloween & Oates (yes, Hall & Oates covers), while Me & My Arrow is taking the all-too-obvious -- and welcome -- option of becoming Me & My Arrowsmith (Aerosmith). The show will also feature a full-time tribute band, Maiden Minneapolis (Iron Maiden), plus short Naked Raygun and Ted Nugent sets. (8 p.m., $8, click here for more info.)

ICEHOUSE: That might not be fake blood coming out of the ears of patrons at this new Nicollet Ave hotspot, as two of the loudest and heaviest metallic bands in town, Zebulon Pike and Bloodnstuff, are pairing up for a deadly double-bill. (10:30, $6, click here.)

331 CLUB: If metal is not your idea of a good Halloween soundtrack, then how about rustic, rowdy, gypsy-style folk played on acoustic instruments? That's what you'll get with wolfman-voiced 331 regular El Le Faunt & His Traveling Circus and Cantankerous Folk. In this case, the saw on stage will be for musical purposes, not sawing someone in half. (9:30 p.m., free, click here.)

CABOOZE: It's not really a Halloween bash, but Colorado's live hip-hop band the Flobots always sparks a party whatever the night. What's more, they have Astronautalis opening this time. The transplanted local indie-rap star should be able to create one mighty whack freestyle montage just off the costumes in the crowd. (9 p.m., $13-$15, click here.)
