The much-needed rain (and snow) might bring a tiny bit of drought relief, but it's delaying a project on Cedar Avenue.

Crews were to be working on ramps between Hwy. 13 and 140th St. in Eagan and Apple Valley today. That work will now take place Friday, said Kristen Klein, a MnDOT spokeswoman.

Motorists can can expect intermittent lane and ramp closures during non-rush hour times. Work will begin on the southbound lanes in the morning, then switch to the northbound lanes around 1 p.m..
