Six Minnesotans, including two Gopher recruits, are on the U.S. select team that will compete in the 2012 World Junior A Challenge in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia from No. 5-11.

The future Gophers on the team are forwards Justin Kloos and Taylor Cammarata of Waterloo of the USHL. They will be joined on the team by another Waterloo forward, Zach Stephan of Hastings.

Kloos is from Lakeville, Cammarata from Plymouth.

Also on the U.S. team are goalie Mike Bitzer of Moorhead and defensemen Blake Heinrich of Cambridge and Dan Molenaar of Eden Prairie. This USHL season, Bitzer is playing for Lncoln, Heinrich and Molenaar for Sioux City.

The World Junior A Challenge is a six-team tournament. Teams in the field besides the U.S. are Canada East and West, the Czech Republic, Russia and Switzerland.
