When I read the Oct. 2 article "Minneapolis mystery man looking for love," I was intrigued by his profile. The description matches a lot of what I'm looking for in a man.

However, the website of his matchmaker (who was to be in the Twin Cities last week "tearing the town apart" looking for the man's future wife) said it would cost between hundreds, even thousands, if my application were accepted. What?!

The mystery man said he is looking for a "girl next door" type. I have often been described as such, but having to pay this kind of money to simply be considered eliminates me and many other down-to-earth women.

Sorry, mystery man, I don't know many of us that can afford this kind of gamble.
