MIAC: Augsburg slips past St. Olaf

Jarise Washington rushed for a school-record 245 yards and four touchdowns to help Augsburg outlast St. Olaf 45-37 Saturday in Northfield.

Washington's 15-yard TD run with 5 minutes, 53 seconds remaining gave the Auggies (5-1, 4-1 MIAC) a 44-37 lead.

Augsburg's Hakeem Bourne-McFarlane recovered an St. Olaf fumble with 36 seconds remaining.

Dan Dobson passed for 313 yards and three TDs for the Oles (5-2, 3-2).

St. John's 51, Carleton 14: Freshman Nick Martin passed for 309 yards and two TDs and rushed for three TDs to help the host Johnnies (3-4, 1-4) break a four-game losing streak -- the Johnnies' longest losing streak since 1930.

Concordia (Moorhead) 63, Hamline 14: Griffin Neal passed for three TDs to lead the host Cobbers (5-1, 3-1).

Valley City State 16, Gustavus 0: Taylor Cino rushed for 118 yards and a TD to lead the Vikings to the nonconference victory in St. Peter, Minn.
