DULUTH -- The city of Duluth took legal steps Thursday to shut down synthetic pot deal Jim Carlson's shop  -- one day after the store owner made good on his vow to sue the city. The wrangling over the Last Place of Earth will have its next hearing Oct. 29. According to the Duluth News Tribune, a complaint fired in Minnesota's Sixth District court could shut down the Superior Street store because it's a public nuisance.

Carlson has said that he sells $6 million worth of synthetic marijuana and stimulants annually.

Here is the Duluth News Tribune account of that city's legal move to shut down the shop.

Here's the Star Tribune story about the complaint.
