Mankato rules second half, upends Augustana in NSIC

Mitch Brozovich rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another, helping Minnesota State Mankato pull away for a 52-14 victory over Augustana on Saturday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Mavericks, ranked No. 12 in Division II, led 24-14 at halftime, before Brozovich ran for a touchdown and threw a TD pass in the third quarter.
The Mavericks added two fourth-quarter touchdowns -- one on a Brozovich run -- as they improved to 6-0, 2-0 in the NSIC South.
Brozovich rushed for a team-high 104 yards and completed 10 of 14 passes for 162 yards. Josh Hansen passed for 234 yards and two scores for the Vikings (2-4, 0-2).

Bemidji State 29, Mary 21: The Beavers outscored the Marauders 20-0 in the second quarter on the way to victory in Bismarck, N.D.
Lance Rongstad threw two touchdown passes and rushed for a TD in the second quarter as the Beavers (3-3, 2-0 NSIC North) opened a 26-7 halftime lead.
Minnesota Duluth 45, MSU Moorhead 14: Seven players scored touchdowns -- six rushing -- for the host Bulldogs (5-1), who scored the game's final 24 points and beat the Dragons (0-6) for the 11th consecutive time.
Winona State 10, Sioux Falls 9: The host Warriors held the 23rd-ranked Cougars to 86 yards rushing, and Mike Houts' 3-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter held up.
Concordia (St. Paul) 35, Upper Iowa 6: Jason White rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns as the host Golden Bears rushed for 301 yards in the victory. Mike Willett led the Concordia defense with a school-record 20 tackles.
Northern State 31, Minot State 17: Jared Jacobson passed for 330 yards and four touchdowns, leading the host Wolves (3-3, 2-0 NSIC North) to their third consecutive win.
St. Cloud State 36, Minn.-Crookston 24: Phillip Klaphake threw four touchdown passes in leading the visiting Huskies to victory. Klaphake also rushed for 7 1 yards for the Huskies (4-2, 2-0 NSIC North), who led 36-3. A.J. Barge passed for two TDs for the Golden Eagles (1-5, 0-2).
UMACNorthwestern (Roseville) 14, St. Scholastica 13: The Eagles ended the Saints' 17-game winning streak in the UMAC and took over sole possession of first place in the conference with the victory in Duluth.
Tim Youtzy's 1-yard touchdown run and Ethan Zepp's point-after kick with 5:37 remaining lifted Northwestern (5-1, 4-0 UMAC) into a 14-13 lead.
Northwestern's Brian Lecheler returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a TD. Cory Gebhard returned the second-half kickoff 90 yards to give the Saints (4-2, 4-1) a 9-7 lead.
Eureka (Ill.) 22, Martin Luther 12: The host Red Devils built a 20-0 lead on the way to beating the Knights.
Minn.-Morris 54, Westminster 20: Dan Gerrigan threw three touchdown passes, and Derrick Foss rushed for a TD for the host Cougars.
WIACWisconsin-Whitewater 35, UW-River Falls 0: The host Warhawks, ranked No. 5 in Division III, forced seven Falcons turnovers and posted their 26th consecutive victory in the WIAC.
Upper MidwestCrown 41, Presentation 20: Wes Safford passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two, and Amos Schmidt rushed for 139 yards and two TDs for the host Storm.
