While drivers headed north on Cedar Avenue out of Apple Valely have enjoyed having all three lanes open again, the return trip won't likely get better for another week or so.

MnDOT shut down the ramp from southbound Cedar to northbound 35E this morning, and that ramp will be closed until next Wednesday. The ramp from Diffley Road to northbound Cedar also is closed until 5 a.m. Sunday. It's all part of a pavement rehabilitation project.

Meanwhile, work on Cedar between Diffley Road and 138th Street will continue through Oct. 18. Cedar will be down to two lanes, single lane traffic might occur during non-rush hours, MnDOT said.

WIth no bus lanes, they will share traffic lanes with motorists. The speed limit has been dropped to 50 mph for that reason.
