Game 2 preview: Lynx at Seattle

Preview: The Lynx can advance to the Western Conference finals for the second year in a row with a victory. They lead Seattle 1-0 in their best-of-three semifinal series after beating the Storm 78-70 on Friday at Target Center.

Lynx at a glance: A well-rested Rebekkah Brunson had 12 points and 11 rebounds -- her first double-double since Sept. 9 -- on Friday. She was the reason the Lynx outrebounded Seattle for the fifth time this season in as many games. ... Coach Cheryl Reeve shortened her bench for the playoff opener. Guard Candice Wiggins was the only substitute who played more than 10 minutes. ... The Lynx are 8-3 in their past 11 games against Seattle.

Seattle at a glance: The Storm need a complete game from 6-6 center Lauren Jackson. She had 11 points in the first half Friday, one free throw in the second. ... Rookie Shekinna Stricklen led the Storm with 13 points against the Lynx and tied a team high with seven rebounds. ... Veteran forward Tina Thompson made the most of her 11-plus minutes Friday. She had nine points, six on two three-pointers, and seven rebounds.
