Not much to update about Jerry Kill's weekly press conference on Tuesday. The Gophers' coach doesn't expect MarQueis Gray to play, is almost certain that cornerback Martez Shabazz won't, and said left guard "Tommy Olson got banged up and he's a big question mark."
But linebacker Lamonte Edwards, offensive lineman Joe Bjorklund, and receiver Andre McDonald all should be able to take part in practice this week, and be available to travel to Iowa City if they are included on the 70-man roster.
As for this week, Kill said that keeping Floyd of Rosedale remains just as important this week as the Gophers' 4-0 start. "I don't think we've let up on any of that. That's part of college football," the coach said. "We're not going to sit here and say it's not (important), because it is. I mean, it's darn important to our fans. It's darn important to our players. ... I think we've done a good job of educating the new players in our program how important it is."
