Volunteers will be leading a "Nooks and Crannies Tour" at Washington County's Historic Courthouse from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Areas that are typically closed to the public, like the sheriff's original residence and the dome atop the building, will be featured on this tour. The dome, for instance, is reached by a steep narrow staircase, but it offers great views of Stillwater, the river and the St. Croix Valley.

The suggested donation for the tour is $3 for adults and $1 for children. The courthouse is located at 101 W. Pine St. in Stillwater.
