Dates for the two Western Conference semifinals series in the WNBA have been set.

The Lynx, the defending champions, will play Seattle at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at Target Center in the first game of the best-of-three series. The second game will be at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at KeyArena in Seattle.

And a third game, if necessary, will be Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Target Center. The time of that games has not been determined.
The first and third games will be on ESPN2, the second game on ESPN.

The Lynx, who rolled through the playoffs a year ago, won the season series with the Storm three games to one. In the 2011 playoffs, the Lynx were 7-1, beating San Antonio in three games, Phoenix in two and Atlanta, in a best-of-five series, in three.

San Antonio will play at Los Angeles at 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 in the opening game of the other semifinal series. The second game will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in San Antonio. And the third game, if necessary, will be 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1 in LA.

The first game of that series will be on ESPN2, the second two on NBA TV.

A playoff schedule for the Eastern Conference semifinals has not been released yet. The fourth playoff spot is still in doubt, although New York appears to have a big edge. The Liberty (14-18) has a one-game lead over Chicago and the tie-breaker. Both teams have two games left.

So for the Sky to win, they have to win their last two and New York has to lose twice.

The other three playoff teams have been determined. Connecticut won the Eastern Conference title and will play either New York or Chicago. Indiana finished second and will play Atlanta.
