Merger and acquisition activity involving Minnesota companies that was announced in the past week.

8/3 Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort Lakes Entertainment Inc. Lakes Entertainment acquired the Rocky Gap Lodge & Cumberland, Md. Minnetonka Golf Resort for $6.8 million.

8/6 Best Buy Co. Inc. Private investor Founder and former chairman Richard Schulze has Richfield offered to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Best Buy that he does not already own for $24 to $26 per share.

8/6 Jefferson Capital Systems Edwards Capital Edwards Capital, a private equity investment firm doing St. Cloud Chicago business as Flexpoint Fund II, has acquired Jefferson Capital for $130.5 million.

8/6 Stanton Carpet Corp. Norwest Equity Partners Norwest Equity Partners has made a majority investment in Stanton Carpet Corp., a distributor of carpet and custom rugs. No financial terms disclosed.

8/6 Larsen Cooperative Co. CHS Inc. CHS will acquire Larsen Cooperative, a distributor of Larsen, Wis. Inver Grove Heights animal feeds, fertilizer, agricultural chemicals and other farm supplies.

8/7 Edifice Information SPS Commerce Inc. SPS Commerce has acquired Edifice, a provider of cloud- Management Systems Inc. Minneapolis based supply chain performance products. Parsippany, N.J.

8/8 ATM Network Inc. Cardtronics Inc. Cardtronics Inc. said that its Cardtronics USA Inc. Minnetonka Houston subsidiary has acquired all of the assets of ATM Network Inc., a provider of ATM services to independent merchants.

8/10 K-W Manufacturing Co. ATC Venture Group Inc. ATC Venture Group will acquire certain assets of K-W Sioux Falls, S.D. Minnetonka Manufacturing Co., a Sioux Falls, S.D.-based manufacturer of snowplows, bulldozer blades, rock pickers and other attachments for the skid-steer loader market.
