GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Score that landing a 10K.
A Minnesota pilot bested about 40 other competitors Saturday to take home the $10,000 prize in the inaugural GFK Flight Support landing contest at Grand Forks International Airport.
Hans Estby, of Rochester, Minn., dropped the wheels of his plane within 7 feet of the target line.
Estby has only been flying for three years.
Brent Seifert, owner and president of GFK Flight Support, tells the Grand Forks Herald (http://bit.ly/Oy8hWv) he plans to hold the event next year and add some new ideas to make it better.
