Fun scrimmage down at the X tonight. 6,500 in the arena -- by far the most for a development camp scrimmage in my soon to be eight seasons covering the Wild.

Remember, Sunday at 11 a.m., there is another scrimmage as development camp ends. First 1,000 fans get a Zach Parise T-shirt. Get here early. Today, so many people lined up early, the Wild opened the gates nearly 30 minutes before the 6:30 scheduled time.

Also, remember, I am officially on vacation, so others will have the keys to this blog.

I will, however, be hosting Dan Barreiro's show on KFAN on Friday from 3-6:30 p.m. We'll be talking everything, but I do have some hockey guests on, including Wild coach Mike Yeo and new Wild center Zenon Konopka, who is in the Finals of the Ping-Pong charity game in Toronto tonight. Also, center Matt Cullen may come on. It's his Cully's Kids weekend and the Cullens have a very cool announcement Friday. Also on the show will be former Panthers coach and Blue Jackets coach and GM Doug MacLean, who is quite the personality, and Columbus Dispatch hockey writer Aaron Portzline to talk about the ongoing Rick Nash saga.

Also, Star Tribune Twins beat writer Lavelle E. Neal will join to talk the Twins and everything, for that matter, as well as Fox Sports North's Kevin Gorg.

As for the scrimmage, it ended in a 4-4 tie thanks to a last-minute comeback by Team White.

By the way, no Scandella due to there's nothing to prove, and Cuma (groin) and Kuemper (shoulder rehab) didn't play.

Second half

Bussieres denied on penalty shot by Stephen Michalek, a 2011 sixth-round draft pick

4-2 Green vs. Michalek: Tyler Graovac, a 2011 seventh-rounder the Wild brass really likes, scores on a bouncing puck

4-3 Green: Charlie Coyle from Foucault on a beauty one-timer with 1:54 left.

4-4 White: Steven Kampfer crashes the net and finds a loose puck with eight seconds left. Remember, Kampfer played 13 games for the Wild last season after being acquired from Boston for Greg Zanon. He scored two goals and one assist.

The scrimmage ended with penalty shots. The fans were delighted.

First half

1-0 Green vs. Matt Hackett: Jason Zucker, a 2010 second-round pick, blows by the D for a breakaway goal after Mikael Granlund, a 2010 first-round pick, sends him a blue-line to blue-line pass through traffic. Justin Fontaine, a free agent pickup last summer, with the second assist.

1-1 White vs. Johan Gustafsson: Johan Larsson, a 2010 second-round pick, from Raphael Bussieres, a 2012 second-round pick, and Charlie Coyle, a 2010 first-round acquired in the Brent Burns trade.

2-1 Green: Invitee Bobby Farnham scores off Adam Gilmour's faceoff win. Gilmour is a 2012 second-rounder.
