Also on the primary ballot is Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch, who is expected to prevail in his bid for a seventh term against former GOP state Sen. Dan Liljenquist. Veteran Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., also faces a primary challenge Tuesday.
