Members of the Minnesota Patriot Guard lined the entrance to Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday before a memorial service for Navy Lt. William E. Swanson of Brooklyn Center, whose plane was shot down during the Vietnam War. Servicemen presented a U.S. flag to Peggy Ricker, Swanson's sister. The naval aviator had been classified as MIA until recent years, when remains located in Laos were determined to be those of Swanson.
