Flint Hills Children's Festival

This year the Ordway stage is host to the percussion group World of Rhythm, the swashbuckling tale of "Zorro," the magical tale "The Wolf and the Goat" and the Théâtre des Petites Âmes adventure "BAM." Outdoors, guests can create a work of art at various stations, see the dance performances and hear live music. (10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Sat.; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. next Sun. Grand opening

The Minnesota African American Museum celebrates its opening with a Legacy Festival. The new museum's featured exhibit, "Bringing It Home," is a retrospective of Black N' Brown baseball in Minnesota. Past Minnesota Twins players will be present, along with T.C. Bear. Grab a bat and attempt a home run in a batting cage. Other exhibits include "Minnesota North Star Pioneers" and "African American Folktales." See a performance by Kenna-Camara Cottman and Voice of Culture Drum and Dance of the Diaspora and other dance troupes and storytellers. A children's village will host activities.
