Penticton reaches title game in Junior A nat'l tournament in Canada

After losing its first two games in the RBC Cup, the Penticton Vees have won three in a row and will play Woodstock in the championship game at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.
The Vees advanced by beating the Soo Thunderbirds 3-0. Mario Lucia, the son of Gophers coach Don Lucia, had an assist on the winning goal which came in the first period.
In the other semifinal, Woodstock edged Humboldt 4-3 in overtime. Earlier in the tournament, the Vees beat Woodstock 2-1 on May 8, outshooting the Slammers 41-21.
