OTHER DAYTON VETOES

Among the Republican-supported bills that Gov. Mark Dayton has vetoed this session:

• Tax bill: Would have reduced business property and sales taxes

• Teacher seniority: Would have ended last-in, first-out layoffs for teachers

• Tort reform: Series of bills that affected civil litigation

• School shift: Would have used state emergency reserves to pay down school debt

• Health insurance: Would have created trust accounts for individuals to purchase health insurance

• Health compact: Multi-state health compact that would take over federal role in health care policy

• Abortion: Would have licensed abortion facilities and required doctor to be present when abortion-inducing drugs are administered

• Child care: Would have prohibited deduction of union dues from child care assistance

• Gun rights: Would have expanded definition of self defense
