Rick Spielman has gotten his wish. In his first draft as Vikings general manager, Spielman has pulled the trigger on a trade. And for the Vikings, it's a something-for-nothing deal.

In a trade with Cleveland, the Vikings have now moved back one slot in the first round, from No. 3 to No. 4 while getting three additional draft picks in return. The Vikings are now getting fourth-, fifth- and seventh-round picks -- that's selections No. 118, 139 and 211. Which is a steal for Spielman given that Cleveland seems majorly interested in running back Trent Richardson.

That means the Vikings will still have a chance to take left tackle Matt Kalil, cornerback Morris Claiborne or receiver Justin Blackmon at No. 4.

With the start of the draft closing in, the Vikings can claim a pretty decent victory before the gates have even opened. They now have 13 picks overall, including 10 to be made on Saturday.
